High Airflow Perforated Tiles
With rising heat loads at the cabinet level, it becomes
imperative to get sufficient cooled air to the front of the cabinets
where servers need it. Traditional perforated floor tiles were
designed with a 25% perforation pattern. Based on a static
pressure of .05 that will provide air flow of around 500 CFM. This
can typically cool up to around 3 kW of heat load. High flow air
tiles can provide CFM rates up to 1200 or more than 8
kW.
Hi-Flow Air Tiles and the HotSpotr can make make a
difference by themselves, or use them together to for an even bigger
effect.

Most data centers use perforated tiles to direct cool
underflow air. Higher density installations
require a higher volume of cool air. Hi-Flow
tiles can supply more than double the cool air than
traditional tiles. Use in hot spots or in front of
high density applications.
