Cooling Cabinets

As power densities increase, it is
critical to get the most efficiency out of your existing
computer room cooling. Enhanced cooling cabinets do not
offer active cooling but they are designed to help get the most
out of traditional raised-floor cooling. Nearly all
servers take air in from the front and expel warm air out the
back. These cabinets focus on targeting as much air as
possible at the front and extracting the hot air from the
cabinet rear.

The APC Air Removal SX is a standard 42U cabinet equipped with a high capacity
fan system built into the back door. The fans extract the heat from the
back of the cabinet and duct it into the ceiling plenum. This process
eliminates the hot air so it cannot re-circulate to the front of the cabinet.

The EDP Polar cabinet has a "mixed flow" design to enhance air flow
while reducing exhausted heat. High performance fans draw in conditioned air from cold aisle
to the air intake of enclosure and through an internal duct system, PolarCab dissipates cold air evenly along the entire
front mounting rails of the cabinet.
