Engineered Data Products introduces PolarCab™ to address IT requirements for advanced cooling solutions for high-density equipment configurations and blade server applications. Based on a patent-pending design and a elegant approach to maximizing the performance of your enclosure solution, PolarCab is engineered to heat loads up to 15kW-making it one of the most advanced air-cooled cabinets in the industry. PolarCab™ easily integrates into most Data Center environments with minimal or no infrastructure impact, complemented by the ease of installation and matched by the performance of up to 15kW of equipment load. The EDP solution is a cost effective, simple-to-specify enclosure line that eliminates the need for supplemental liquid or active cooling systems.	Evenly Distributed Cooling Drawing in conditioned air from cold aisle into the air intake of enclosure and through an internal duct system, PolarCab dissipates cold air evenly along the entire rail mounting system in the front of the cabinet.
We have coined the term “mixed flow” technology to describe the air cooling of our new cabinet; by combining conditioned air and ambient within your Data Center, we are able to obtain constant and well distributed airflow to the air intakes of your user equipment enclosure with a minimal temperature differential (based on front-to-back airflow of servers). This level of performance maintains an even temperature range without the additional conventional concern of spot-cooling.

• Industry-leading 15 kW air-cooling capacity within a single enclosure unit

• Patent-pending design based on “mixed flow” technology that effectively combines conditioned air and room ambient air to provide evenly directed cold airflow to all user equipment and a reduction of exhausted heat to the Data Center

• Integrated fan box consisting of four (4) high-performance fans each rated at 412 CFM and redundant power supplies to operate dedicated fans. Fan box does not consume any vertical mounting space.

• Space-efficient cabinet footprint of only 24” wide x 48” deep to correspond to floor tile dimensions

• Rugged 4-post cabinet construction consisting of a 12-ga CRS frame structure and 12-ga vertical mounting rail set (set of 4)

• Multiple choices of 19” TIA/EIA rail configurations

• Isolated cable management roof system consisting of three distinct cable channels with individual access panels and multiple Koldlok® wiring grommets

• Integrated Koldlok surface grommets in base of cabinet structure to manage raised flooring wiring into enclosure structure

• Perforated front and rear service doors with 64% open perforation pattern in compliance with server manufacturers’ requirements

• 40U internal RMU; plenum system and fan system do not impede on rack-mount space allocation

• Low profile steel-constructed airflow ducts (left/right panels) to direct cooled air to air intakes of user equipment

• Minimal hot air recycling through the cabinet based on sealed construction design

• Use of filler panels is required for open mounting locations for proper cabinet performance
