Cool Shield is a cost effective partition system to contain the air in cold aisles and/or hot aisles of a data center. The system can include 12” wide anti-static, fire-resistant strips and/or panels for the aisle door and ceiling. All components are pre-cut to size for ease of installation. For cold aisle containment, Cool Shield will keep the cool air from your perforated tiles at the front of the cabinets where it is needed. This can eliminate hot spots and provide higher cooling for dense server installations. For hot-aisle containment, Cool Shield serves to prevent recirculation of hot air to the server intake at front of cabinets. Even if you don’t have hot spots, Cool Shield can be used to dramatically improve efficiency and reduce cooling costs by concentrating cooling where it is needed most.
Fusible links are included in the mounting kit to comply with any local fire regulations. In the event of a fire, the strips or panels would drop to the floor before sprinklers discharge.
