Transfer Switches

Transfer Switches allocate power from multiple sources.  If a source of power is interrupted, the transfer switch (or Redundant Switch) immediately switches over to a secondary power source.  Static Transfer Switches can be connected to large stand alone Power Distribution Units with multiple power sources.

Rack Transfer Switches (ATS) provide dual power sources to rack mounted equipment with only a single cord.  Rack ATS units can have multiple receptacles to allow hardware to plug-in directly.  Other models have a few twist-lock receptacles designed to connect with rack power strips.  Combination models have both standard and twist-lock receptacles for maximum flexibility.

> Rack Transfer Switches
Provide dual power sources to single corded rack mount equipment.  Rack ATS units can either be connected directly to the servers or can supply redundancy to an entire power strip.  Networked models are available for power monitoring and email alerts.
