Redefining Static Transfer Switch Technology

MGE has redefined the Static Transfer Switch with the advent of the Epsilon class STS using a host of next generation features that provide unparalleled reliability. At the heart of the STS is a failsafe logic system featuring the latest generation FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) circuitry to assure reliable source transfers under all conditions. The logic is fortified by isolated triple redundant power supplies and an inherently safe operating architecture. Leaving nothing to chance, redundancy is found on all critical assemblies on the Epsilon STS. Designed to be truly fault tolerant, the Epsilon STS has the ability to safely clear short circuit faults due to a robust 300% up to 400 A overrated disc type SCR power assembly, solid copper bussing and fuseless current path.

 All internal assemblies are placed in draw out or hinged panels to facilitate rapid, front only access for inspection and eliminate wasted access space requirements. Static Transfer Switches with Power Module
The PMM Plus dual input distribution system accepts two independent AC input sources feeding to an integrated Epsilon Static Transfer Switch. If the preferred source power quality deteriorates, the STS instantly (<4 ms) transfers to the alternate input source, avoiding any interruption to the critical load. The output power is conditioned and stepped down to distribution voltage via a K-20, double shielded isolation transformer, feeding up to six panel boards with 252 breakers.  Power modules are available in 30 to 300kVA models.
